Legal Age

In speaking of majority age, adulthood, or legal age, it is my firm belief that if a person is required to registered with the selective service or they are of age to join the armed services or they can vote in national elections, they have the right to enjoy all legal rights, benefits, and privileges of any person in this great land. It is funny how people twist the mental capability of an 18-year-old to suit their agenda. On one hand they argue that an 18-year-old doesn’t have the mental capacity to own a firearm but then they argue that they do have the mental capacity to stand trial as an adult. Seems very hypocritical to me. Therefore, I advocate for such items as the legal drinking age and the right to purchase a firearm to revert to 18 years of age. Once and for all the legal/majority age should be 18 in all instances. If a person is old enough to defend and fight for our rights, they should have the same rights and privileges afforded to them.
